About Dr. Maxine Therese

Maxine’s work and 20 years of research support the idea of adults and children growing together as they come to understand their needs as they arise in the parent – child relationship. It is often not until we become parents that we realise that the unresolved and unmet needs from our childhood (and inter-generational patterns of unmet needs) are being manifests in our children, no matter how much we vowed this would not happen.

find solutions for ourselves before handing the unmet needs on to our children. This is not always easy as our child may trigger us and thus we may not see the pattern beneath the behaviours, and keep the cycle of unmet needs alive.

However, when we have a way of identifying how the past, in the way of wounds unrealised potentials and unmet needs naturally become reflected in our children’s life and challenges, we are offered an opportunity to heal our unhealed past. find solutions for ourselves before handing the unmet needs on to our children. This is not always easy as our child may trigger us and thus we may not see the pattern beneath the behaviours, and keep the cycle of unmet needs alive.

Join Maxine as you learn about her Foundational Needs Model and how you can create a space for you to grow with your children as you spontaneously review your past and discover the link between your parenting concerns (you child’s challenges) and your unmet needs.
